Must See Sites When Visiting Palatinum Golf, Spa, and Sport Resort

1. Mar Menor- This naturally formed, warm water lagoon is one of the best places in Europe to learn all kinds of water sports. Whatever you want to do, you can do it here – swimming, scuba-diving, water-skiing, wind-surfing, kite-surfing, sailing – the list is endless. The Mar Menor is separated from the Mediterranean by a narrow strip of land known as La Manga.

6. Gran Casino Murcia- This casino started as a gentlemen´s club for in 1847. The grandiose building has an interesting mix of interior design and architecture that goes from neo-Baroque to old Arabic style. The casino features thirty-five slots and ten table games.

7. The Port of Cartagena- Due to its strategic position on the Murcia coast, it has been inhabited by several cultures which have left their mark on its artistic heritage. The Port of Cartagena is a beautiful place to visit, full of historic, leisure, and romantic locales and adventures.

8. Plaza de las Flores- The best tapas bars in Murcia are grouped around this quaint plaza. This compact square is also lined with flower- stalls, bars and typical open-air cafes.

9. Calle Veronicas- The region of Murcia is known as the vegetable garden of Europe and when you see the stalls at the city's daily covered market on Calle Veronicas you will understand why. A tapas lunch at CafĂ© Bar Lola, stall 241, is a treat: try the octopus, grilled prawns and succulent fillet of pork and wash it down with a glass of white wine - a bargain at about €13 (£8.50) for two.

10. Calasparra- Nestled in the mountains alongside the Segura River, you can enjoy river rafting, rock-climbing, hiking, and fishing. Just outside this town are networks of caves with ancient wall paintings and fascinating rock formations.
